A small solution born from everyday practice
Drilon Bio Humus was born from a problem we see every day around us.
Drilon is one of the most visited tourist areas in Pogradec. Along with the growth of tourism and restaurant activity, the amount of organic waste generated every day has also increased. Kitchen waste mostly ends up in general waste containers, while a significant amount of leaves and green waste from the area is removed or ends up in the water.
At Vila ART, we started addressing this problem in our own way. For some time, we have been separating part of our kitchen’s organic waste and using leaves and green waste to produce compost, which we then return to the soil to nourish the flowers and trees we grow.
It was a small solution born from everyday practice, but the results showed us that we could do more.
This is how Drilon Bio Humus was born: the idea of transforming this individual experience into an organised model in which organic waste from restaurants and green waste from the surrounding area are no longer seen simply as waste, but as a valuable resource.
Our aim is to collect and process these materials through composting and vermicomposting, returning them to nature in the form of Bio Humus and liquid organic fertiliser.
From Drilon, back to the soil. From waste to a valuable product.
